Darya Folsom anchors KRON 4 News Daybreak and the KRON 4 Morning News. She came to KRON 4 in 1998 from Washington, D.C., where she was a morning anchor for the Fox station WTTG-TV. Though she was raised in Connecticut, moving to San Francisco was like coming home, because her entire family has been transplanted to the Bay Area over the last 20 years.

News anchor Mark Danon appears weekdays on The KRON 4 Morning News. He joined  KRON 4 in January 2002. Mark joined KRON4 from WCBS-TV in New York where he was the station's chief meteorologist. On the network level, Mark has worked as meteorologist and fill-in host for "CBS Saturday Morning," and has appeared on "CBS This Morning," and "The Early Show" with Bryant Gumbel.

James Fletcher anchors the KRON 4 Morning News from 4am - 6am and then reports from the newsroom until 10am.  He came to KRON 4 in January 2002 as a freelance writer and quickly moved up the ranks.  As a full-time producer, James managed a number of KRON 4 newscasts including the 4PM News and the Bay Area's number one weekend morning newscast, "KRON 4 News Weekend."

Traffic Anchor George Rask joined KRON 4 in August 2005 and appears on the KRON 4 Morning News.  Rask is a Bay Area broadcast veteran, beginning here on KCBS radio in 1982.  During his time there, he founded and operated the Bay Area’s premiere regional traffic service, called Traffic Central.  After selling that business, he began Auto Talk, an all-traffic radio channel. 

Born and raised on the Peninsula, Evelyn Taft grew up speaking Russian with her Moscow-born parents. As a young girl, she remembers learning English by watching 'The Weather Channel.' While getting her broadcast journalism and political science degrees at the University of Southern California, Evelyn forecasted the weather for the school's live newscast.

Louisa Hodge has spent most of her broadcasting career in Northern California. She joined KRON4 November, 2009.  She previously worked in Sacramento as a weather anchor and reporter at KXTV News10 and KTLX Fox40.  During that time she covered many a snow storm in the Sierra.  She is an Emmy winner and two-time Emmy nominee.

Pam Moore anchors KRON 4 News at 5:30p.m. and 11 p.m.  Moore joined KRON 4 in March 1991 as an anchor and general assignment reporter.  In December 1991, she was named anchor of “KRON 4 News at 11.”   In 1993, Moore was assigned to report on medical issues for “4 Your Health” segments.  From 1994 to 1997, she served as host of “Health Matters,” a half-hour health awareness program.

Heather Donald co-anchors the KRON 4 News at 4, 6 and 8 p.m. Prior to joining KRON 4 in February 2005, Heather was the 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. news anchor at WATE in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was also an investigative reporter there, winning the Tennessee School Board Association Award for Education Reporting.

Elaine has helped motorists navigate Bay Area freeways since 1999. Before joining KRON in January 2007 she could be heard on dozens of radio stations, most notably KCBS & KFRC, and seen on CBS 5. In addition to her traffic duties, Elaine also forecasts the weather on KRON's 4 o'clock news.

Catherine Heenan is anchor of KRON 4 Evening News, the KRON 4 Weekend News and a general assignment reporter.  Catherine, whose parents were born in Northern Ireland, grew up spending summers in Ireland and England with family. She came to KRON 4 from WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she covered legal and political beats, and received numerous awards for her investigative and general assignment reporting.

Vicki Liviakis joined the station in 2001 and most recently worked as an anchor and general assignment reporter. Vicki has traveled the globe covering stories from terrorism in the Middle East to devastating floods in the American Midwest. She knows both sides of the camera - from working in Europe as a photographer to anchoring the nightly news in Los Angeles.

Jacqueline Bennett started forecasting the weather at KRON 4 in November of 2008.  Prior to arriving in the Bay Area she was an anchor/reporter at KIVI in Boise, Idaho.  While It does not snow as much here, she knows how varied the weather can be in the Bay Area with the micro-climates and big shifts in temperatures.

Since joining KRON 4 in 1985, Gary Radnich’s unique off-the-cuff style has developed into the standard by which TV and radio sportscasts are often judged.  He has been honored three times by the Associated Press for Best Sportscast in California, and his weekday KNBR Radio show has been top-rated since its 1992 debut.

Since coming to KRON 4, Glenn has been tagged with the nickname "Mr. Involvement," for literally throwing himself into the middle of his feature stories. He has bungee-jumped, been thrown off a bull, taken blows from a professional boxer, and run a motorcycle into a wall during a race, among other memorable features. From a shoot-out with Chris Mullin to becoming a human target for the Cal football team, "Mr. Involvement" has created a niche in the market. John Marvel of the Contra Costa Times said, "The 'Mr. Involvement' series is the best feature on TV."

Marty Gonzalez is weekend anchor of “The KRON 4 Morning News.”  In addition to his work at KRON 4, Gonzalez is an associate professor in the Broadcast and Electronic Communications Arts department at San Francisco State University. As a reporter, Gonzalez has traveled all over the world including Central America and Vatican City.

Isabel Duron is an award-winning journalist with more than 30 years in television broadcasting.  In 1997 she was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ “Silver Circle” for more than 27 years of meritorious work as a journalist. Duron is a weekend anchor of “KRON 4 Weekend Morning News”  She joined KRON 4 as a general assignment reporter in 1990.

Henry Tenenbaum has more than 25 years of television experience, from roles as feature reporter and entertainment critic to news anchor and assistant news director.  He joined KRON 4 in January 1992 as a reporter and commentator, taking an offbeat look at the quality of life in California.  In addition to his current duties as KRON 4’s entertainment reporter, he also co-hosts KRON 4 News Weekend and anchors Henry’s Garden.

Brian Van Aken has your Bay Area forecast on the weekend editions of KRON 4 News.  In addition to Brian's weekend duties at KRON 4, he is also a consultant for Weather Services International, a provider of most of the weather graphics seen on television today. Brian helps TV stations design new and unique ways of visualizing forecast information for their weathercasts.

Jonathan Bloom covers San Francisco politics and general assignments  for KRON 4, while also pioneering the innovations of technology that  drive the Video Journalist revolution. His trademark storytelling  style harnesses the ever-changing electronic tools of broadcasting to  make the news both more personal and easier to understand. Bloom came to KRON 4 in 2006, after a journey across the country that  found him reporting for stations in Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma,  Missouri and Kansas.

Jeff Bush coveres general assignments for KRON 4.  Jeff started his career in television at the age of 16 performing just about every production related job from video tape editor to studio camera operator at KTXS-TV in Abilene, Texas. At age 20 Jeff enlisted in the Navy as a combat photographer and saw action during Operation Desert Storm. During five and a half years of service Jeff traveled around the globe in support of many missions aboard various warships and aircraft.

Terisa started working with KRON in 2001.  A veteran of the news business, Terisa's experience spans much of the nation.  She previously worked as a correspondent for CBS's Newspath traveling the nation to all breaking news events.  Terisa has covered numerous high-profile court cases including the trial of the men accused of beating and killing Matthew Shepard's because he was gay, and the trial and execution of Timothy McVeigh. Terisa has also traveled the country covering national disasters including the country's worst floods, hurricanes, and fires. 

Christine Connelly has been many places during her career, arriving in the Bay Area after working for television news stations from South Carolina to Las Vegas, Nevada. This is nothing new, however, for a former military brat who spent time growing up all over the world. Now living in and reporting from the Bay Area, Connelly takes pleasure from the international flair that she has found here.

A longtime bay area newsman, Rob work’s a general assignment beat out of KRON’s South Bay Bureau in San Jose.  A native of Minnesota, Rob likes to say he was a V-J before there was a name for it….shooting (on film) and writing his own stories as a cub reporter in South Dakota ‘back in the day.’  Among the stories he remembers most was covering the World Series at Candlestick when the Loma Prieta Earthquake struck….and then covering nothing else for the next three weeks!

Mark Jones is a broadcast veteran with more than three decades of journalism experience. He joined KRON 4 as a general assignment reporter in September 1986 and is currently KRON 4's transportation reporter featured in his segments called ‘On the Move'. Jones is the recipient of 26 regional Emmy nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  Mark was one of two American Journalists honored in 2006 at the International Video journalist Awards in Berlin, Germany.

Maureen Kelly has been with KRON 4 for over 14 years working on the news assignment desk as the Assignment Editor prior to becoming the real estate reporter. When not checking out open houses or hunting for ‘for sale' signs, Kelly enjoys walking her dogs and spending time with her husband. 

Stanley Roberts is a KRON 4 Video Journalist.  He joined the station in 1998. As a video journalist Roberts focuses on ‘People Behaving Badly', a regular feature highlighting various situations where individuals are caught in compromising and sometimes potentially illegal positions. Roberts came to KRON 4 from ABC News in Los Angeles, where he was worked as a videographer for KABC, KCBS, KTTV, CBS NEWS and for the syndicated show "L.A.P.D - Life on the Beat'.

Gabriel Slate is KRON 4’s technology Video Journalist/reporter. He's earned the nickname, "Gadget Gabe."  Gabriel tries to simplify all the jargon and confusing new technologies and electronics by helping the viewer understand how things work and how they can make their life easier and more fun!  He also works hard to discover brand new technology in its development stage and gives viewers a sneak peak at what their future holds.  For his “Tech Report,” Gabriel was the first Video Journalist ever to be nominated for an Emmy in the (West region) National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Kate Thompson joined the KRON 4 news team in August, 2007. Kate began her reporting career in New York City. She helped launch News 12 Brooklyn, a 24-hour local news channel. Born and raised in New Jersey, Kate got her start in the news business interning at several local television stations. he graduated in 2003 with a BA in Communications from The College of New Jersey.

Will has been a reporter in San Francisco since 2001. His first stop in San Francisco was at NBC11, covering a wide range of stories including the search for Laci Peterson. When Scott Peterson was arrested, Will did numerous liveshots for television stations across the country, including MSNBC. After NBC11, Will spent a few months reporting for KVVU-FOX in Las Vegas where he won an Associated Press Breaking News Award. Will was the first reporter to break the news that Charles McCoy Jr., the Ohio freeway sniper, was arrested in Las Vegas . Like the Peterson case, Will did numerous liveshots for stations across the country including the FOX News Channel.

Daniel Villareal started at KRON 4 in 2005 and is currently a general assignment Video Journalist.  Growing up in Salinas Daniel took an early interest in the technology behind television thanks to his father who was a communications technician in the army.  Daniel started his broadcasting career in radio becoming one of the youngest on-air hosts in Salinas.

Craig Sklar covers general assignment news for KRON 4 in the South Bay bureau. He has 22 years of experience both in front of and behind the camera. Craig came to KRON 4 from Portland, Oregon where he was the station’s only video journalist for seven years. He has also worked in Chico, Fresno and Albuquerque, NM.

Dan Kerman joined KRON 4 in April 2002 as a General Assignment Reporter.  Before coming to KRON 4, Dan had roles of both reporter and producer at TechTV in San Francisco. Kerman received his BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Political Science.  He is also a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), a union representing professional actors, dancers, singers, and broadcasters.

North Hills Christian School in Vallejo is having a Chevy’s Night Fund Raiser for their 8th Grade Washington DC/East Coast trip at the Chevy’s Restaurant in Vallejo.  It will be from 4:00PM to 9:00PM on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Chevy’s Fresh-Mex Restaurant, 157 Plaza Drive in Vallejo (across from Costco).

February is Teen Violence Prevention Month A Safe Place, in collaboration with the City of Oakland has produced a DVD titled: "Real Talk" - Teen Dating Violence Prevention.  The screening will take place Thursday, Feburary 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Elihu M. Harris State Building Auditorium - 1515 Clay Street in Oakland, CA.

The KRON 4 College Internship Program is designed to provide practical, on-the-job experience to students interested in pursuing careers in broadcasting and related fields.  The program is year-round and may be adapted to students on both the semester and quarter systems.  Internships are generally limited to two one semester/quarter, but may be extended to two with supervisor and school approval. The internship is unpaid.

The rules, standards, and qualfifications governing the KRON 4 Internship Program.  All standards must be met in order to be accepted into the Program, although meeting the following guidelines does not guarantee acceptance into the Program:

In a Programming Production internship, you will have the opportunity to learn about: Live remote and taped television production, including lighting, wireless audio, and handheld camera work, Non-linear  editing, Producing, Writing, Directing, and Shooting commercials,  Embedded Advertising,  Working with commercial clients to best represent their product on television, A chance to meet and assist interesting Morning News guest, including celebrity authors, chefs, and entertainers, and a chance to explore other departments such as news, promotions, and web.

The future of news is clearly on-line.  Now college students can get hands-on experience at the convergence of television and Web 2.0 as an intern at KRON4.com

KRON 4 offers a variety of internships in the newsroom. All internships at KRON 4 require that the individual is a junior or senior at a college or university that will give course credit for the internship.  Proof of college credit for the internship must be provided prior to the first day of the internship.

Interns in this fun, dynamic department will help publicize KRON 4, the Bay Area's News Station.  Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, receive college credit for the internship and commit for a minimum of one semester/quarter.
