SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - San Jose police say more women are coming forward against a physician's assistant who they accused of sexually assaulting them during their visits to a diet clinic.
Sgt. Jason Dwyer says that the alleged victims recognized Waissuddin Ali whose arrest in March was publicized after a patient accused him of sexually assaulting her in February.
Santa Clara County prosecutors have charged the 35-year-old Ali of Livermore with five misdemeanor counts of sexual battery by fraud.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 28.
Police say the alleged assaults occurred while Ali was working at Doc's Diet clinic in San Jose.
Dwyer said police worry that there may be more victims.
The case remains under investigation.
