SAN FRANCISCO (REGIONAL)--Bay Area residents are waking up to warm conditions Monday as temperatures continue to climb throughout the region.
According to the National Weather Service, a red flag warning is expected to remain in effect for the North Bay mountains and East Bay hills through mid-morning with locally gusty north to northeast winds which are expected to decrease by the afternoon.
Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to be warmer Monday afternoon compared to Sunday with San Francisco reaching a high in the low 80s. Weather officials say residents can expect some relief from the heat through the rest of the week with temperatures reaching highs in the upper 60s to low 70s before rebounding in time for the weekend.
