FREMONT (BCN) -- A 3-year-old girl fell out of a second-story apartment window in Fremont Saturday morning but apparently escaped serious injury, a police lieutenant said.
The accidental fall was reported around 9:05 a.m. at the Waterstone at Fremont apartments at 39600 Fremont Blvd., police Lt. Kimberly Petersen said.
The girl was on a bed and leaned against a window screen that gave way, causing her to fall to the concrete below, Petersen said.
She was taken to a hospital and, despite the fall, looks "no worse for wear," Petersen said.
However, the girl will remain at the hospital for observation to make sure she did not suffer any internal injuries, the lieutenant said.
