VALLEJO (KRON) -- Vallejo police are investigating a brutal home invasion that left three members of a family hospitalized from gunshot wounds, police say.
Two male suspects allegedly kicked down the front door of a home on MacDougal Street at 3:40 a.m. on Thursday, officials confirm.
An adult male resident, responding to the noise of the break-in, came down his stairs and was shot in the face by one of the suspects. Hearing the shots, the man's mother camed downstairs and was shot in the hip. Then her adult daughter came down the stairs and was shot in the finger. All three suffered non-fatal injuries, police said.
The two suspects, dressed in hoodies, fled on foot.
Police believe the incident was a random act.
