NAPA (BCN) – According to Napa County Chief Deputy District Attorney John Goold, the suspect in a Calistoga murder has also been charged with rape and domestic violence.
Rodulfo Uribe, 23, of Napa, delayed entering a plea to the charges Friday in Napa County Superior Court and will be arraigned July 31, Goold said.
Uribe is charged with the shooting murder of Luis Octavio Carrillo, 26, of Calistoga on June 29. He was arrested at his aunt's home in Compton Wednesday afternoon.
Goold said Uribe also is charged with beating and raping a 24-year-old woman in Napa County after the homicide. He said the events are all tied together, indicating Uribe and Carrillo both had a relationship with the woman.
Calistoga police found Carrillo face down on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of North Oak Street around 1:30 a.m. on June 29. He was shot in the torso and was declared dead at the scene.
Uribe is charged with murder under the special circumstance of lying in wait, use of a firearm and possession of an assault weapon. He is being held in the Napa County jail.
