SANTA CRUZ (BCN) -- The Santa Cruz County coroner's office has identified the  pedestrian killed while crossing a Santa Cruz street Friday evening as  60-year-old Harish Tailor.

The Santa Cruz resident was walking in or near a crosswalk at  Laurel and Felix streets at about 7:25 p.m. when he was struck and killed by  a pickup truck, police said.

Witnesses described the vehicle as a blue or dark green 1980s  pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150, last seen headed north on Chestnut  Street.

Police searched for the truck after the accident but were unable  to locate it. It should have some damage to its front end, possibly on the  left side, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call  911, Santa Cruz police at (831) 420-5820, or the anonymous tip line at (831)  420-5995.
