SANTA CRUZ (BCN) -- Police are identifying Pablo Morales as the victim of a fatal  shooting in Santa Cruz on Saturday evening.

Officers responding to reports of shots fired found the  24-year-old Live Oak resident suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near  East Cliff Drive and Jessie Street, on the San Lorenzo River levee, at about  7 p.m.

Morales was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses reported seeing two males running away after the  shooting, heading across the street toward Ocean View Park, but officers were  unable to locate them, police said.
