SONOMA (BCN) -- Authorities with the sheriff's office are investigating a drug lab discovered on Ola Court in the Sonoma Valley on Thursday.
Sonoma County sheriff's Sgt. Glenn Lawrence said a search around 1 p.m. in El Verano in unincorporated Sonoma County near Sonoma determined the residence was being used to grow marijuana and contained a lab used to extract concentrated cannabis oil.
Detectives seized about 100 pounds of processed marijuana, 96 pot plants, growing equipment, several pounds of hashish and vials of concentrated cannabis oil, lab equipment used to extract the oil and more than $49,000 in cash, Lawrence said.
The value of the processed marijuana, plants and hashish is estimated at $400,000, Lawrence said.
The case is under investigation and criminal charges are pending against two Sonoma Valley brothers believed to be linked to the lab, Lawrence said. Their names were not disclosed.
