| Ok, I see the point of the first comment"people are being tortured, etc. all over the world" True,but that doesn't mean something like this should be minimized-by any means. Good point that pretty much ALL serial killers begin this way. What do people not understand about there being a direct relationship between heinous acts like this and later, even more violent acts on people? This guy should be locked up for a long time-sick son of a b!tch. |

| Why is this even an issue? A dog had its legs broken. It's a dog. People are being killed, tortured, and raped every day. Instead of writing a check to Amnesty International to help other PEOPLE across the world, you're wasting space for a dog. You are glad that people turned in this guy in? How about supporting programs that support women turning their abusive husbands in? I'm waiting for the day that the world begins to understand that a human and animal life are not equal. A true waste of space and energy. |

| I cried when I read this, and then wrote a check to the Shelter. I've always believed that people who abuse and torture children and pets should be the death penalty. I'm glad some of you agree. The next best idea is to break his legs, over and over, so that he'll always be in pain and never walk again. |

| I agree with everyone however, the good thing is that there are people out there who dedicate their lives to getting these quacks off the street. I volunteer with the Humane Society and there is so much work and love that goes into helping animals like this little guy. |

| When people abuse animals and the good people at shelters and humane societys are healing these animals, these people should be forced into jail and work until the bill for the abused dog is paid off. If that takes 2 years, then that takes 2 years. That might start preventing some of these idiots to either not get dogs or to stop abusing them for no reason |

| I am sick and tired of hearing these awful stories. If anyone hurts an animal deliberately, he/she should:
1. pay the vet bill and a fine
2. mandatory counseling
3. jail time
4. never own another animal
These monsters will continue to perpetrate these heinous acts as long as they are only slapped on the wrist. The consequences must be
severe enough to make a difference. Don't forget that many serial killers began this way.
